There has been constant controversy about where knowledge comes from. A rationalist is someone who believes true knowledge comes from reason and reason only. Imperialist argue that true knowledge comes from experience. In addition, Kant is an imperialist who believes that the mind is always at work in every experience and if the mind is not at work then we do not have experiences. Kant claims that the mind is broken up into three parts. Reason, understanding, and intuition are the three parts he claims the mind is broken up into. I support his argument that knowledge comes from experience and not reason because as humans we learn from our experiences. Also, Experiences teach us not only the difference between right and wrong but prepare us for our future experiences.
